Northern California Fire Relief Donation Drive and Fundraiser
Watching the news of the North Bay Fires unfold has been an incredibly heartbreaking experience for the entire Bay Area. The damage caused by this fire has been devastating and, to make matters worse, it looks as though it will continue to grow. At this time, over 25,000 people have been evacuated or lost their homes as a result of this tragic disaster.
Our conversations around the office throughout this past week have made it clear that many of us at Chartboost and throughout San Francisco are seeking a way to reach out and assist our larger Bay Area community. The North Bay is a cornerstone to our lives in San Francisco, and our connection to this region is tangible. This landscape has hosted countless weddings, birthdays, hikes, and camping trips for each of us, making it is hard to even imagine the current devastation to this area.
Last week, our team began researching various North Bay shelters and volunteer organizations, communicating with the County of Sonoma in order to get a clear idea of what the most urgent needs are at this time. Through this research we have found that the most helpful contributions are food, clothing and toiletries.
Here’s how you can get involved:
We have organized a donation drive at our office (both on the first and second floor) and created a GoFundMe account for anyone who would like to submit a monetary donation toward these items.
If you would like to help our with our donation drive, the following items are greatly appreciated and can be delivered to our office:
- Slightly used or new clothing in all sizes (all ages/sizes/men’s/women’s).
- NEW (original packaging) socks and underwear.
- Nonperishable, easy-to-open/easy-to-eat food items. Please note that many shelters do not have microwaves or ability to heat large amounts of food items.
- NEW unopened toiletry items (deodorant, toothbrushes, toothpaste, etc.).

Help us raise $2000 for additional relief supplies on our GoFundMe page. With these funds, a group of Chartboost volunteers will be stocking up on supplies this week and taking our initial delivery to North Bay shelters on Thursday, 10/19.
