What are App Store Analytics: App Store Deletions?

“App Store Analytics: App Store Deletions” is a usage metric available to iOS developers. It measures the number of times your app was deleted from devices running iOS 12.3 or tvOS 9, and beyond.

Deletions are separated into two different categories: deletions from Home Screen, and deletions via Manage Storage. Deletions due to device resetting and/or erasure are NOT included in this metric.

This metric allows developers to learn about user reactions to app changes. What did they think about your latest content update? Are they frustrated by your recent price increase? The “App Store Analytics: App Store Deletions” metric will help you answer these questions, as well as others like them. Just remember, “Deletions” information is based on users who have agreed to share their data with you. Many of your app users will likely decide NOT to share data, limiting the usefulness of this metric.
