What is App Store Analytics: App Version?

“App Version” refers to the version of your app displayed in the Apple App Store and is available for Apps and App Clips.

Inside App Store Connect, “App Version” is a filter that you can use to pinpoint specific information. For example, which app version had a higher engagement rate, 1.0 or 2.0? You can find the answer to this question by logging into App Store Connect and clicking the “Metrics” tab, then filtering your results by App Version and comparing them to one another. Doing so will help you understand what your users like and don’t like.

You can then use this information to create better apps in the future and promote them to the right users via highly targeted marketing campaigns.
