What is App Store Analytics: Territory?

A territory, in Apple App Store terms, is a geographical location in which the Apple App Store is available. The Apple storefront that’s shown to users depends on their personal billing addresses.

In App Store Connect, the “Territory” filter will enable you to analyze users by physical location. This is different from the “App Store Region” filter. The “Region” filter will help you determine where your sales come from. The “Territory” filter, on the other hand, will help you determine where your users live.

To access the “Territory” filter, login to your App Store Connect account, choose the data point you want to analyze, and activate the “Territory” filter. Once you do, you’ll be able to learn which countries your users call home. You can then use this information to inform your marketing campaigns. Note that “Territory” details are available for both Apps and App Clips in the Apple App Store.
