What is ARPDAU (Average Revenue Per Daily Active User)?

Average revenue per daily active user, often abbreviated to ARPDAU or ARP-DAU, is one of the KPIs that app developers use to evaluate their monetization strategies. By tracking ARPDAU for your app, you’ll be able to determine the success of your marketing campaigns over time, in terms of revenue, and decide which are actually benefiting your business.

How to Calculate ARPDAU

To calculate ARPDAU for your app(s), simply divide revenue generated on a specific day by the number of unique active users your app receives on that same day.

If, for example, your app hosts 80,000 users and generates $100,000 in revenue on a single day, your ARPDAU would be $1.25.
